Japanese Black Pine are often referred to as ‘the king of bonsai’ and are one of the most iconic species in the history of bonsai. These are one of the few pines that produce two flushes of growth per season, allowing for refined shaping. Japanese Black Pine needles can remain on the tree for up to three years, adding to its aged appearance. These compact growing starters have been cared for as Bonsai nursery stock and are in 200mm pots with solid secondary branching. By grafting Yatsabusa pine onto standard rootstock, these pines benefit from short needles & compact growth while having faster growth & nutrient uptake from the rootstock. Optional extras are available as shown. You may add: 100gram bonsai shaping wire (selected for the tree) for $4 (RRP $6.95) HANZO Carbon Steel Scissors for $19 (RRP $59) 500gram Bonsai Booster Fertiliser for $6 (RRP $7) Bonsai Master figurine (selected randomly from range) for $9 (RRP $15 ea.) Trees may vary slightly from illustration due to growth and seasonal variation.
