Newton FoamStop Backing Rod – 10mm x 1m Length

10mm foam backing rod for movement joints. Newton FoamStop is a compressible foam backing rod that is used to ensure that the FlexProof 106 is applied at the correct depth within the construction or movement joint.  The diameter of the FoamStop selected should be approximately 150% of the width of the joint. This is a 10mm diameter FoamStop backing rod for movement joints – suitable for joints of 5mm, 6mm and 7mm wide.  Application:  The correctly sized FoamStop can be carefully inserted into the joint using a blunt chisel and hammer  Do not damage the FoamStop  The ends of the FoamStop should be butted – no adhesive is required  Mitre the FoamStop at changes in direction.  Refer to the data sheet for the Newton FlexProof 106 products for full details on appropriate joint sizes and the depth of installation of the FoamStop within the joint.
